Opera House  
The Julia Creek Opera House was opened at the exact same time as Sydney Opera House. It was renovated in 2007 as part of the Julia Creek Centenary celebrations. The building houses a historical photo gallery of photos over the past 100 years.

The Water Tower  
Opened in 1971, the water tower is wine glass shaped and stands 30m. It has the capacity to hold 100,000 gallons of water and stands above one of Julia Creek's bores. A blue light illuminates the Water Tower at night creating a striking visual effect

Julia Creek Historical Walk  
Obtain a map from the Visitor Information Centre. The walk takes in 36 signposted historical sites of Julia Creek.

Nature Trail  
Nature Trail – a walk along Julia Creek. Starts behind the caravan park. The circuit takes approximately 60 mins. An abundance of local birds and wildlife can be seen in the early morning or late afternoon.

Proa Redclaw Farm  
Proa Redclaw farm has 14 artesian ponds breeding redclaw crayfish. A free tour of the farm is available by appointment. Bookings can be made at the Visitor Information Centre. It is a self drive tour to the farm (80km south east of Julia Creek).

World War 2 Bunkers  
The remains of a Directional Finding Installation can be seen at the western edge of Julia Creek, near the sale yards. It consisted of two structures, the square remaining one which was the machinery shed.
